DAY 01
Pick up your rental vehicle in Calgary. Established by the North West Mounted Police
in 1875, the city's population now numbers close to 900,000. Admission to Heritage Park
is included today. As well, visit the Zoo, take in a football game, stroll the riverside
pathways, dine on the world's finest beef. Overnight in Calgary.

DAY 02
Take the short (2-hour) drive from Calgary to Banff on either the Trans-Canada
Highway or the more scenic 1A Highway. Overnight in Banff.

DAY 03
A full day to explore Banff and area. In town you'll find lots of excitement - shopping,
caf‚s, nightlife, museums. Check out the Cave and Basin National Historic Site (included),
birth-place of Banff and the Canadian national parks. Banff Gondola (included)will lift you
high over Banff for an incredible panoramic view. Take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the
newly-renovated Upper Hot Springs (included). Overnight in Banff.

DAY 04
It's just a 40-minute journey from Banff to Lake Louise, so you'll have plenty
of time to stop and explore along the way. Take the Bow Valley Parkway, a winding
and lovely route beside the Bow River - be sure to stop at Johnston Canyon and walk
along the paved footway to either the lower or upper waterfalls before continuing to
Lake Louise. You'll also have lots of time to wander and explore this lovely lake amid
its mountain paradise - you can even rent a canoe! Overnight in Lake Louise.

DAY 05
Another great day in the Rockies - Lake Louise to Jasper along the
amazing Icefields Parkway. You're sure to be enthralled by the scenery,
the wildlife, the incredible blue lakes and sparkling waterfalls en route. Stop for a
self-guided interpretive walk at Peyto Lake. Don't miss the Columbia Icefield Visitor Centre
and a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier on board a Inbound Holiday's Snocoach (included) before continuing
your journey. You'll have time to discover the many shops and caf‚s in quiet and friendly Jasper.
Overnight in Jasper.

DAY 06
Today you'll travel from Jasper to Kamloops along the Yellowhead route, passing Mt. Robson, highest
peak in the Canadian Rockies. Your route takes you from towering mountains to the rolling grasslands
of ranch country. This evening, dinner is included at your hotel. Overnight at Lac Le Jeune.

DAY 07
After breakfast (included for 2004 only), an amazing trip awaits you today, from Kamloops
to Vancouver via the Fraser Canyon. You'll go from the arid near-desert of the interior
through the steep, snowcapped Coast Mountains, then on to the rich farmland of the Fraser
Valley. Don't miss the Hell's Gate Airtram (tram ride included), a bird's eye view of the
roaring Fraser River as it squeezes through a narrow rock passage. On you way to Vancouver,
don't forget to stop at Minter Gardens (admission included)! You'll arrive in sophisticated,
cosmopolitan Vancouver in time to sample the nightlife and many excellent restaurants.
Overnight in Vancouver.

DAY 08
Turn in your vehicle to complete your tour.
