a series of flag signals. It is also at Signal Hill that on Dec. 12, 1901, Guglielmo Marconi received the first
transatlantic wireless radio signal. Overnight in St. John's.

Station National Historic Site, western terminal of the trans-Atlantic telegraph cable laid in 1866, the
first telecommunications link between Europe and North America. North of Clarenville, stop at the Ryan

unique geology. Hiking is an excellent way to appreciate the park. Overnight in Rocky Harbour.

DAY 06
