Maritime Magic

Over nine days you'll see the best of Canada's Maritime provinces, from pretty
Peggy's Cove to historic Charlottetown. a highlight of the trip is the Cabot
Trail around Cape Breton Island, where the welcome is warm and the scenic vistas
are wonderful!

8 nights accommodation, Halifax, Baddeck, Peggy's Cove, Digby, Saint John, Cape

DAY 01
Upon arrival in Halifax, transfer independently to your downtown hotel
(transfer not included). Overnight Halifax.

DAY 02
Following breakfast, discover the little fishing village of Peggy's Cove. Away
from the city lies Grand Pre and the Annapolis Valley. In Digby, you will enjoy
fine dining (jacket and tie required) and overnight at the 300-acre Digby Pines
Resort, whose setting overlooks the Bay of Fundy - home of the world's highest
tides. (Breakfast and dinner included).

DAY 03
After breakfast, your morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, board the
Princess of Acadia to cross the famous Bay of Fundy, to New Brunswick. Arrive in
Canada's fascinating "Loyalist City," Saint John and visit the Reversing Falls
and several points of interest before checking into your hotel.(Breakfast
included). Overnight in Saint John.

DAY 04
Your guided tour continues through Fundy National Park to Hopewell Cape, where
you can walk on the ocean floor at low tide. After lunch, cross to Prince Edward
Island on the new Confederation Bridge, the longest continuous multispan bridge
and tour Charlottetown, Canada's birthplace. This evening, enjoy a musical
performance at the Charlottetown Festival Theatre. Please note that performances
at the Festival Theatre are available on the July and August departures only.

DAY 05
Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown before visiting the red sandstone cliffs,
white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward
Island National Park. Visit the home of "Green Gables," a mecca for people
around the globe. This evening enjoy a delicious lobster dinner before returning
to your hotel (breakfast and dinner included). Overnight Charlottetown.

DAY 06
After breakfast, sail to Nova Scotia, then proceed to Cape Breton Island, "the
Scotland of Canada". Soon you will discover why Alexander Graham Bell thought
Baddeck would provide a perfect setting for his summer home. Visit the
kite-shaped Bell Museum, which exists to remind us of the many accomplishments
of this genius. Your accommodation this evening offers a short eagle-watching
boat tour (weather permitting). (Breakfast and dinner included).

DAY 07
From your reclinging seat, the magical vistas of Cape Breton National Park are
yours to capture. Along the Cabot Trail, frequent stops are made for picture
taking, handicrafts, and exploring. Late in the day, you will have completed the
circular "trail" and arrive back in Baddeck. Tonight there is a "Farewell to
Nova Scotia" reception before dinner. (Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner
included). Overnight Baddeck.

DAY 08
Departing after breakfast, the Fortress of Louisbourg awaits you. This
reconstruction recreates one-fifth of the town as it was in 1744. Words cannot
do justice to this tribute to New France. Your tour continues along the shores
of Bras d'Or, to the mainland and the city of Halifax. (Breakfast
included). Overnight Halifax.

DAY 09
This morning you may establish your own departure time.
