PACKAGE FEATURES
5 nights hotel accommodation, 1 night onboard VIA Rail's "Silver and Blue"
service, two meals onboard VIA Rail, "Christmas in November" event at the Jasper
Park Lodge (welcome gift, 9 meals, cooking demonstrations, craft classes,
cottage tours, kitchen tour and wine tasting), sightseeing transfer from Jasper
to Banff, scheduled transfer service between Banff and Calgary, porterage at
hotels and national park fees.
DAY 01
Upon arrival at the Vancouver International Airport, transfer on your own
(not included) to your hotel. Ovenight at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
DAY 02
Your morning is free to explore Vancouver before you board VIA Rail's Canadian
for your overnight journey to Jasper in the late afternoon. Dinner is included
on board.
Luggage storage in the passenger cars is limited, so we suggest
that you pack an overnight bag for the train portion of your tour and check the
rest of your luggage into the baggage car. Overnight onboard VIA in a private
bedroom.
DAY 03
You will travel through the Monashee and Caribou mountain ranges before ending
your train journey in the resort town of Jasper. A full breakfast is included.
You will be transferred to your hotel upon arrival into Jasper to celebrate the
15th annual "Christmas in November" event. Included tonight is a welcome stand
up dinner reception with host specialty drinks. Overnight at the Fairmont Jasper
Park Lodge.
DAY 04 and 05
Relax and enjoy the wintry surroundings of Jasper. For the next two days, you
may wish to partake of an optional seminar including cooking demonstrations,
craft classes, kitchen tours, cottage tours or wine tasting. Breakfast and
lunch are included for both days, as well as a winemaker's dinner on Day 4 and a
gala dinner on Day 5. Overnight at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
DAY 06
After a leisurely breakfast and brunch (included), transfer to the resort
town of Banff. You will travel along the beautiful Icefields Parkway, one of the
most scenic highways in the Canadian Rockies. Snow-covered mountain ranges,
forested valleys and massive glaciers highlight this spectacular drive.
Overnight at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
DAY 07
Conclude your tour with a scheduled transfer service (included to the
Calgary International Airport or major hotels in downtown Calgary.
