    DAY 02
Board VIA Rail's new Bras d'Or rail service to Sydney, on picturesque Cape Breton Island. The rail journey itself is a treat as you travel in the company of storytellers, musicians, and kilt-clad guides. Experience scenery from the perspective unique to rail travel as you wind through beautiful rolling hills and quaint communities. A cold breakfast and lunch are included today and will be served to you at your seat. For your convenience, a taxi transfer is included from the train station to your selected hotel. Overnight in Sydney.

    DAY 03
Collect your rental car this morning and travel to the Fortress of Louisburg National Historic Site (included). Next, travel to the Marconi National Historic Site, then return to Sydney. Overnight in Sydney.

    DAY 04
The Cabot Trail, one of the most beautiful drives in North America is on the agenda today. The Trail circles northern Cape Breton Island where the highlands rise from the coast. Overnight in Halifax.

    DAY 07
A day at complete leisure to visit Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and York Redoubt National Historic Site (both included), and perhaps to take a short drive along the Lighthouse Route to Peggy's Cove.
